Very catchy name : Eat my GF!!

I first heard "Eat my GF" from a tv show. It instantly caught my attention (I was online and surfing) that made me turn up the volume.

Turns out it means Eat my Garlic Fries. Okay so I though it was something well naughty. LOL.

Tried it out yesterday, I bought the original GF. It was garlic overload! But it was yummy! Add a little ketchup, and you're there. :)

This is also one of the choices Nacho Papa and Nacho Mama. You can also add additional toppings, you can choose the ff upgrade:

"Put meat on my GF" where you can choose on putting beef or ham if I remember it correctly.

"All the way" the meat, cheese and virgin chips all together.

Oh yea they have Virgin Chips which are basically potato chips.

I've tried the Original GF and Virgin chips and both are yummy. Maybe because I like garlic. But for those who don't like garlic, I think you should try this cause they use fresh garlic everytime.

Try Eat my GF they have branches in Food choices in Glorietta and ATC.

Mister Kabab Restaurant in BlueWave Macapagal

Okay so this is our last day of seeing each other this christmas. So we decided to have dinner again. I asked if it's ok with her to go to SM Mall of Asia, but she said we've been there since Monday. So off to Blue Wave we went.

Deciding on a restaurant is a very hard task. It took us about a few minutes to decide then we came in the Mister Kabab restaurant, Mediterranian I think.

We ordered these. (omg i already forgot the name of the food as this happned last wed.) Ill just show you the pictures ok?

I liked the taste of this one together with the garlic sauce they have.

The curry sauce is to die for! That's for me of course, depends if you like your food a bit spicy.

This one has eggplants in it. Not a big fan though :)

and for dessert a red velvet cake!

All in all, I enjoyed the experience. And I love their "curry" yummy. Our total bill was less than 700, not bad for everything we has odrered.

Soi Thai Restaurant at SM Mall of Asia

We were choosing restaurants where we can eat. Since I was in a mood to try newly established/renovated restaurants, I suggested Soi, a thai restaurant which just opened recently. She agreed since she has a thing for thai food.

We ordered 3 things, Vegetarian Pad Thai, Fried spring roll, Chicken Curry and a cup of jasmie rice (since the curry already comes with an unlimited thai rice)

Fried Spring roll

Chicken Green Curry (blurry shot sorry)

Pad thai noodles

Okay eating time! The fried spring rolls are yummy and crunchy. The filling inside is enough. Some even have a lot of meat inside, happy me of course. The Fried spring roll sauce was average. As expected from the is chicken curry, it is kind of spicy. Their chicken was a little dry for me but I guess the sauce helped sell the dish. Their Pad Thai is also recommended for others to try. It has a little bit of similarity in taste with Som's Pad Thai.

Okay our bill was less than php700 not bad. I think this is ok and still affordable. Haha

Ebun at SM Mall of Asia

Okay so we arrived at MOA during lunch time so almost all fast food chains are full. We thought about eating at Friday's but well it's too expensive since we're 5 people in total. So we walked a bit further and decided to eat at Ebun.

Ebun is a filipino restaurant. It has a branch before in Greenbelt 3 but has transfered in MOA this year.
E

Okay order time. It took us a few minutes to decide on our food. We decided to eat Gatang Sitaw and Kalabasa (Squash and strimg beans in coconut milk - not sure about the translation), Lechon Sisig, Pork Sinigang, and 750g of Crispy Pata, 4 cups of plain rice and 1 garlic rice. For our drinks, I got a Pepsi Max, my sister got an Ubas shake, my bro got Rootbeer and my other sister and mom opted for house water.

From left, Lechon sisig and Gatang Sitaw and Kalabasa

Lower left, Crispy Pata, middle top, Pork Sinigang, upper right Garlic fried rice.

What can I say, all of us enjoyed the food. My mom even said that their Pork Sinigang was all natural which was good cause we were under the impression that almost every restaurant in the metro uses the instant stuff. I was surprised that their Gatang Sitaw and Kalabasa was soo delicious. And this is not biased or anything, it's that good.

Well, I think the food was awesome! we had a total bill of 2200+. But wait, haha my mom used her BDO credit card and we got a 250php discount ( get 250php worth free food or 250php discount for a min bill of 1000php).

Singapore Republic Food at Bonifacio Global City

I really wasn't planning on buying food here when I was thinking of my snacks/dinner.

I asked my officemate she'd like to go to Mcdonalds to buy food. She declined saying that she was eating their food since last night. That was when I thought, ok if you don't like Mcdo, let's try Singapore Republic Food.

Okay so we went and ordered take outs. Well I thought it would be nicer to eat there but then again I'm not allowed to leave my desk for a long time.

I ordered stir fried shrimp noodles and japanese style tofu.

The tofu was a bit off. The little liquid base part was no my favorite. The stir fry? I loved it!!

Bizu at St. Luke's hospital in BGC

Okay so this post was supposed to be posted last night but due to the sleepy me, I accidentally erased my post. Bummer.

Anyway, last night (6dec) after a yummy dinner at Via Mare, we decided to have dessert. We can choose from DQ, Mary Grace or Bizu but we decided to go to Bizu since they have a more inviting ambiance than previous two.

So we were having a difficult time choosing what to eat, so the waiter suggested The Rudolph. He said that the Rudolph was awarded best cake for 2011 by The Philippine Daily Inquirer. Okay that got me curious. So we decided to order The Rudolph and their Chocolate souffle.

This is The Rudolph. It was like a Christmas ball decoration that fell from a tree with snow on top. Wondering what's inside it? Here.

It's made of chiffon (i think hehe), almonds, caramel and chocolates (both white and the normal one). I'm personally not a fan of anything caramel, but I think this dessert made it work. I like the texture of the cake mixed with the nuttiness of the almonds.

The other cake we ordered was their Chocolate Souffle. This is a first since I haven't tried nor tasted a souffle before so I was really excited to take a bite. Though honestly I didn't know how to eat it. Haha. Should I eat it with the vanilla Ice cream or should it be eaten separately? I did the former. And damn that was one hell of a bite. It was chocolate overload!

Both cakes were good but (obviously) I liked the souffle more. I think it was the moist chocolate syrup in the center that really got me. It was a bit crunchy on the outside but when you cut in the center, moist chewy chocolate was there. Talk about choco heaven overload ^_^

If you're wondering about the price, it's a bit expensive. The total of both desserts rounded off is about Php800.00. It was even more expensive than our dinner. But for me, it was worth paying for.

Pancake House Waltermart 14nov

I went to Waltermart to fetch her from the supermarket.

Before going home, I asked her if we can eat dinner first cause I was hungry and we decided we eat at Pancake House since she also wanted to try the Junior Master Chef Pinoy edition and I wanted a steak for myself.

The above photo was her order Ampalaya something (sorry didn't remember the name.) It was great. I mean, a little bitter but it was tolerable and the filling inside the ampalaya was mexican inspired. Also a great plus for me was the richness of the cheese on top of the ampalaya.

This was mine. Medium rare steak :) love the way they cooked it. Nicely seared for me :)

One thing that was kind of off for me in this store? Well I was a bit stupid for having left my CC in their store, what will raise your eyebrow is that, I asked my friend to get it from them, and their staff just simply gave the card to her without even asking her name or even an ID. Really bad stuff.

Swensen's at SM Mall of Asia

Okay so we went to SM MOA cause I really really need to buy a new pair of shoes since my old one is starting to talk and I can really feel the wetness of the street while I walk (nasty right?).

After finding the right shoe, we went to Tokyo Tokyo to have dinner. Sumo Remix please. Didn't have a photo of the food though cause I don't think I need it.

Then off to dessert! We were really looking forward for Swensen's to open. And so we went in.

We were a bit full from dinner that time so we decided to share the sundae. And I'm sorry I forgot the exact name of the dish, but it has these crispy, crunchy maltesers! It's like chocolate overload! For Php 220.00, it's heaven.

You guys should really try Swensen's. I think Icebergs will have a run for their money.

Johnny Chow at Newport City Mall

Another restaurant that I've tried. I was curious to try this restaurant for quite some time now mainly because their staff all wear wigs, their chairs have people's faces on them and curious to try their food.

And these are what we ate.

This is duck with crispy noodles. Although the duck is yummy, I think I still prefer North Park's noodles over this. The sauce of the noodles is for me is kind of lacking, though I'm not saying that I want it to be like your ordinary noodles with soup. hehe

Next stop, korean beef rice. I had the sudden craving for bibimbap when I saw the picture of this dish so I included it in our order. To my dismay, it didn't really taste anything Korean. It just tasted like fried rice with soy sauce and spring onions.

Last and definitely not the least, The Merlion Ribs. I liked the presentation of the dish, makes your mouth water and when you finally put it in your mouth, you'll feel the tenderness of the meat. Though I think this is just another way of eating "siopao" since this dish also comes with a separate "Cuapao". Nonetheless, I really enjoyed this dish.

I can't really recommend this restaurant for those people who has a limited budget, these 3 dishes sums up to Php1000.00 ($23-$25). With that kind of money, you can eat in other restaurants in Newport Mall and still have money for dessert.

Sincerity Restaurant in Binondo

Last Saturday, my friend and I went to 168 mall to accompany her in buying things she needed.

Being close to Binondo I suggested that we have dinner there since I was craving their famous fried chickens.

Trust me, these chickens are delicious! The first time I saw the chickens I was like oh ok fried chicken. But when I tried it out, all I was thinking was this is good stuff. I know, you'd be thinking "what's the difference of that chicken from Jollibee's or McDonald's. And all I can tell you is that, it has this unique taste about it that sets it apart. Maybe its their breading mix or how they season the chicken. I really don't know.

And another great thing is it's price. It's only 150php! It's super cheap and it can be shared by 4 people. Talk about savings.

We also tried their lumpiang shanghai (failed to take a picture) but I don't recommend it. Som's lumpia is still better by far.

First time ever to eat a Bic Mac McDonalds

I had work yesterday from 6am 'til 10pm. Super long hours would mean eating breakfast, lunch and dinner at the office.

So I ate BB at Mcdo then went to 711 for lunch. Okay I was at the point of deciding where to buy dinner. And I was leaning towards buying a Jollibee Champ since I already have tried it and I loved it. But then it means either having it delivered (having an additional expense for delivery fee) or having to walk a little farther for it.

I suddenly thought of the Big Mac at Mcdonalds and said to myself, I haven't tried it and Mcdo is just downstairs. So it was decided, I will be eating Big Mac for dinner. Off I go.

After a few minutes of buying, I went back to my cubicle and started to eat my dinner. I opened the box and grabbed a bite.

Then I saw this.

Well I was turned off that my veggies started to fall off my burger. I had to scoop the veggies in order to eat them. And I did nit like the taste of the burger. But yeah I was stuffed but not contented.

I'll be keeping in mind to stay away from the Big Mac in the future.

Mozu - BGC

I was surprised when my "friend" was already waiting for me downstairs after my long hours shift. We were about ti head to the car when we realized that SnR wasn sale. But later on decided not to go there cause of the long lines.

I then asked her if she wanted to have dinner with me, and said ok. We headed to Mozu

We had Pork Binagoongan and Sisig. Oh we also ordered pumpkin soup.

Food was average. Though the pork binagoongan was super crunchy. Their sisig was a bit overcooked. Some where even burnt. It was a bit disappointing. But I guess the disappointing dinner was saved by their dessert, Frozen Braso.

Total bill? 735php. More on the expensive side.

PS. Sorry if the writing is a mess I'm a bit sleepy *yawn*

Recipes at Resorts World, Newport

I wasn't really planning on going out today. But due to certain circumstances I needed to go to BGC. After picking her up, we decided to go to Resorts World to have dinner.

With our budget in mind, we searched a place where we can have dinner without spending a lot. We landed at Recipes.

She suggested that I try the Generals Chicken and I can also pick another dish to taste which I later on decided to be Dinuguan and 2 cups or rice.

Generals Chicken

Pork Dinuguan

The Generals Chicken had eggplants and a little bit of spices with it. The chicken was still crunchy despite having sauce all over it and I think this was one of the reasons I enjoyef the dish. Though the serving was a bit small than that I was expecting.

Regarding the Pork Dinuguan, I wasn't a fan. Dinuguan is one of my favorite dishes, but this was not one of them. The pork was a little dry for me and the sauce had a weird taste on it. So I wouldn't recommend it.

Total price? 502. Not bad for a budgeted meal at Newport city.

SOM's Noodle House in Rockwell

Soms Noodle House is a Thai cuisine restaurant located near Rockwell, Makati.
This is actually my second time eating here and I was excited to order their yummy spring rolls again. And so we ordered it first. 8 pieces of crunchy golden brown spring rolls served together with it's winning sauce. I'm telling you that sauce is to die for.

Spring Rolls

We then tried their Garlic pepper (pork) and their Pad Thai noodles. When these two came, I was a bit disappointed in the Garlic Pepper since it has a smaller portion compared to the Pad Thai noodles.

Garlic Pepper (pork)

Pad Thai

But with regards to taste, I loved the Garlic Pepper (pork). The pork is tender and cooked nicely. The sauce is just like the sauce in the spring roll but I think is with soy sauce and garlic. It's a bit sweet too. The Pad Thai noodles is also divine. The noodles is firm and everthing on it is cooked perfectly. But I prefer if the Pad Thai would be spicier. For people allergic to nuts please avoid this dish.

Our total bill? 435 pesos! Not bad right? The meal is good for 2-3 people (depending on their appetite). It's really a good value for your money.

Try eating at Soms and tell me what you think about it.

Yes or No Thai Movie

I just recently dowloaded the film after watching it on Youtube just for the sake of having a copy of it.

I loved the movie. As simple as the plot may seem to look like, it tackles a lot of issues going on in a life of a young homosexual, specifically a lesbian.

The movie also shows characters which detest and are not really open to the concept of having a same sex relationships.

Anyway, as I have said I loved the movie and the cast was perfect for the characters they are portraying.

This was in one of the scenes from the movie. When Kim was with Jane and just realizing that she has feelings for Pie. I just love how the love story of Kim and Pie developed. So sorry for Jane though, but I think she's hotter than Pie ;)

I really really suggest you watch the film so that you can get what I mean :) I'm not really a movie critic but I really enjoyed watching it.

UPDATE: 23March12

Here's PART 1 of the movie on Youtube.

Bagnet 8065 at Taft

I just picked up my friend from the grocery and we were just deciding where to have lunch last friday. And she just remembered that she had this voucher from Metrodeal I think so I said let's have lunch there at Bagnet 8065 to try their Bagnet of course.

I was a little disappointed with the facade. It was your typical "carinderia". When we went inside, I said ok, it doesn't look that bad.

Okay time to order. The menu given to us were hand written (forgot to take a picture of it though) and looked okay I guess. Upon looking at the menu, we immediately ordered the Original Bagnet and the Enseladang talong.

I couldn't wait to taste the Bagnet. When I finally put it inside my mouth, all I could say was "hmmm". It was delicious! The bagnet was so crunchy that it feels abd tasted like the Bagnet in the Ilocos region. And ordering the Enseladang talong with it was a perfect match.

The food was definitely a GOOD value for money. Will advise though that there is only a few parking slots in the area so if you're bringing the car, better be there earlier or just commute ;)

PhotoBlog!

I've been hooked to the Adobe LightRoom and Adobe Photoshop program that I wanted to share my edited photos for the world to criticize. I'm planning to make a photo blog to share these photos. Though I'm still a super novice with regards to editing so I really need those critiques :)

But I'm stuck on what I should name my blog. Haha. Should I name it after me or something else? All my recently edited photos are tagged with AC | WORKS, I wanted to name it like that but I'd need to a hosting site to be able to put at least a dash between AC and WORKS. LOL

Anyway, if I decided anything, it will be posted here SOON. (maybe later, haha)
