Ramen Nagi : Best Ramen so far!

Ok so this is a super duper late post. Haha. Anj and I decided to go to dinner that day and went to SM Aura since it's near work to choose for a restaurant there.

Whenever Anj and I will eat out we usually have this thing that we ask each other a lot of times where will we eat, and well I usually was left with the decision and this night was no different. I was kinda craving for ramen and really really wanted to try Ramen Nagi for the longest time (loser haha).

So off to Ramen Nagi.

Ramen Nagi interior
When being seated in the restaurant, it's not like the normal restaurant you're accustomed to where you can seat beside your friend or date (if there's only the 2 of you). Here you are seated in front of each other and other people can seat right next to you. The greeter also advises you that they do not have take-aways.

Their menu is simple and you can easily understand them since it has a description also.

When it was time to order, you would just need to fill out whatever type of ramen you would want. I got the Red King which is spicy but as you can see below, you can still add a little more spice if you want to. Anj ordered their original King (butao) since she's not really a fan of spicy food.

Me with the face lol

My gorgeous girl while deciding her meal :)
All in all, my ramen was spicy and had the right texture to it. I love the taste of the broth. I was sniffing loads after finishing my ramen and it was only 1.5 times hotter. Whew! ~

Definitely one of the best ramen I have ever had to date.

If you would like to visit them I think they are gonna open a branch in Greenbelt 3 this December. You can visit their Facebook page also. Click the link below.

Missy Bon Bon, Cagayan De Oro

Just got back from a recent travel to CDO, which I really enjoyed by the way. :) So on our final day in CDO, we decided to eat dinner at the original branch of Missy Bon Bon in LimKetKai Center.

Since we're not really familiar with the place, we just took a cab from our hotel (Hotel Xentro) to LimKetKai Center. It was just a Php 55.00 cab ride, *Php40 flagdown (yes it's that close haha).

And here we are! :)

Their menu list. It's like a fast food chain where you choose your order then order it via their cashier/counter.

The difference from fast food? They have their own Gelato! :))))
So anyway, my girlfriend and I went to Missy Bon Bon to have dinner, so we stood in front of their counter for a few minutes and said our orders.

They have a really cozy place and I bet it also looks good in the morning :)
Loved the lights, although I think there were some lights missing as I really can't see the pattern in the lamps.

Lemonade (Php 60.00) and Mixed Berry (Php 58.00)
The Lemonade was mine, while the the mixed berry was for my girl. Nothing special about their drinks, but we're refreshed. Thanks :)

Danggit meal with plain rice ( Php 135.00)
I tasted my gf's Danggit meal, and the danggit was delicious. Not sure if these were from Cebu or locally made.

Full Filipino Breakfast ( Php 259.00)
I had the Full Filipino Breakfast which contains garlic rice, 2pcs tocino, tapa, an egg, bangus and atchara. It was yummy! We were already full but made sure that we had space left for the gelato.

Blueberry (left) and Sansrival (Php 90.00 eavh)
We weren't able to buy the ever famous Missy Bon Bon pastel, since we already bought pastel from Camiguin. But, I wanted to go back to CDO, so maybe until then I'll have a taste of their pastel.

Total cost of our dinner? Php 692.00 only. Not bad since it included drinks and dessert! Well for me, it's worth the price. Plus they have a really generous serving of viands, so that made it more "sulit". :)

By the way, like any other breadshops, they offer a 30% discount or a buy 1 take 1 promo when it's nearing their closing time. If you wanted to visit their store, you may see their address below. They also have a branch at Centrio, inside Bigbys.

The Chicken Rice Shop - Harbour Square

The Chicken Rice Shop originated from Malaysia and branched out abroad, one of which is here in the Philippines :)

We were in the vicinity since we wanted to capture the epic sunset of Manila Bay (you can go to my Instagram feed for a few shots of it). When that was over, we decided to have dinner. There were a lot to choose from, so we chose to eat somewhere that we haven't tried before and landed here at The Chicken Rice shop.

Upon seating us in our table, I noticed these cute things.
These were napkin and utensils holder. I just found it cute since it resembles a Rooster. Cool right? ^_^

Time to order. Although if I remember it correctly, we didn't order from their menu 'cause they were having a promo on their value meals so we tried those. :)

We had these yummy food ^_^

Pai Tee or Top Hats (left) [ Php 78.00/4pcs]
Fried Wonton [Php 98.00]
Golden Fortune Rolls [Php 108.00/4pcs]

The Pai Tee or Top Hats is one of their signature appetizers. It's composed of pastry shells that is filled with shredded vegetables and chicken meat. Great to eat together with their spring rolls and wanton. :)

Hainanese Chicken [Php 98.00]

This is their version of their Hainanese Chicken. It's their own traditional secret recipe which was passed down to generations and was said to originate from the Hainan Island.

Curry Laksa [Php 148.00]

Their Curry Laksa was delish. The spiciness of the curry was just right for me but just so you know I like it really spicy. So just specify it to your serve if you would want your curry to be spicy or not too much.

Overall it was a great experience dining at this restaurant. They have friendly staff, fast service and clean place.

Vikings Buffet Restaurant, re-visited!

I really enjoyed the first time that I ate at Vikings so I decided to bring my family along :)

Viking's waiting area. They start letting the people in at around 11 AM, the ones with the reservations first of course.

Their "Viking" logo.

Their rates in case you were wondering. Oh and I think until September this year, If it's your birthday, you get to eat free as long as you have 1 paying customer with you :) Valid ID is needed of course.

They really have a really nice design. It's cozy for me.

They have several buffet tables that offers different types of cuisine. This one for example is for your appetizers.

Your salad bar.

salad bar (left) soup & breads (right)

Salmon Sashimi, yummy!

The staff that are busy to prepare and replenish the buffet tables.

Unlimited drinks. Juice, sodas, coffee and beer!

After the hearty meal, you have to save a little more space for the desserts. They have a buffet table for desserts as well.

Yummy pastries!

When I first visited Vikings, there was only 1 fountain, the chocolate fountain, I was surprised and amazed that now there are 3, chocolate, strawberry and purple yam (ube).

Blueberry anyone?

They can also make you crepes if you'd like.

Gotti's Ristorante, SM Mall of Asia

After strolling and all the window shopping that we did, we decided that it's time for dinner. I was personally not craving any dish back then but I was willing to try a new place to eat. Scouting for it, we stumbled upon Gotti's. It was new to me (though I think they were open in other malls for quite sometime now) and I think they just opened their branch there so we went in.

Pardon me for the blurry photo. This was a stolen shot. LOL I'm kind of shy of taking a photo of the establishment.

Their menu. Interesting for me and I got excited to order.

While we were waiting for our order, well I got bored and tried taking an "artistic" photo. Don't know if it work though. Haha

*Php 145.00* Mushroom Bruschetta.
It's 3 crisp bread with fresh mushrooms on top that was sauteed in pancetta and basil silvers. Although the flavors were there, it was served cold to us. I was wondering if that was really the way to serve it.

*Php 190.00* Garlic Shrimp.
I was a fan of this one. Yes it was a factor for me that this was a tomato-based dish, but more importantly the taste was superb. The sauce was delicious and the pasta was cooked right. The bread was also a treat to the taste buds.
A real Italian restaurant cannot be complete without their Pizzas! So we had to order one.

*Php 345.00* Contadina.
As described in their menu, it's Prosciutto de Parma and grilled eggplant topped with freshly grated with Parmigiano Romano.I liked the way that it tasted it was like the eggplant lasagna that I loved eating that's on top of a pizza.
I had a great time exploring their food. There were some ups and downs but all in all I had a good experience in this restaurant.
