Missy Bon Bon, Cagayan De Oro

Just got back from a recent travel to CDO, which I really enjoyed by the way. :) So on our final day in CDO, we decided to eat dinner at the original branch of Missy Bon Bon in LimKetKai Center.

Since we're not really familiar with the place, we just took a cab from our hotel (Hotel Xentro) to LimKetKai Center. It was just a Php 55.00 cab ride, *Php40 flagdown (yes it's that close haha).

And here we are! :)

Their menu list. It's like a fast food chain where you choose your order then order it via their cashier/counter.

The difference from fast food? They have their own Gelato! :))))
So anyway, my girlfriend and I went to Missy Bon Bon to have dinner, so we stood in front of their counter for a few minutes and said our orders.

They have a really cozy place and I bet it also looks good in the morning :)
Loved the lights, although I think there were some lights missing as I really can't see the pattern in the lamps.

Lemonade (Php 60.00) and Mixed Berry (Php 58.00)
The Lemonade was mine, while the the mixed berry was for my girl. Nothing special about their drinks, but we're refreshed. Thanks :)

Danggit meal with plain rice ( Php 135.00)
I tasted my gf's Danggit meal, and the danggit was delicious. Not sure if these were from Cebu or locally made.

Full Filipino Breakfast ( Php 259.00)
I had the Full Filipino Breakfast which contains garlic rice, 2pcs tocino, tapa, an egg, bangus and atchara. It was yummy! We were already full but made sure that we had space left for the gelato.

Blueberry (left) and Sansrival (Php 90.00 eavh)
We weren't able to buy the ever famous Missy Bon Bon pastel, since we already bought pastel from Camiguin. But, I wanted to go back to CDO, so maybe until then I'll have a taste of their pastel.

Total cost of our dinner? Php 692.00 only. Not bad since it included drinks and dessert! Well for me, it's worth the price. Plus they have a really generous serving of viands, so that made it more "sulit". :)

By the way, like any other breadshops, they offer a 30% discount or a buy 1 take 1 promo when it's nearing their closing time. If you wanted to visit their store, you may see their address below. They also have a branch at Centrio, inside Bigbys.

Mochiko | Ice Cream ♥

Just awhile a go we ate at the Black Canyon (post to follow) and we passed by Mochi Creme and Mochiko, both Japanese Ice cream desserts. I already had Mochi Creme and it was yummy so I knew I had to try one Mochiko this time.

They just recently opened their kiosk in SM Southmall (I always see them in ATC) and I decided that I got to let my girlfriend taste a Mochi.

New Kiosk! Looks sheek! (Sorry for the shot , all photos are straight from my phone)

What I loved about it is that they have more flavors than Mochi creme and in my opinion  theirs tastes a lot better and yummier than Mochi creme.

Cookie dough flavor, the size is a bit small, but the flavors really explode in your mouth.

If you'd like to visit them, they have a lot of stores nationwide. You can search for a store near you in their website posted below :)

Mochi Creme, a Japanes Ice Cream

I just had to share this! Such a cute and yummy thing. We were strolling the mall and looking for my sister's shoes when I spotted their kiosk. It had those cute drawings, like those of the Ragnarok character (Poring monster).

I got curious so I asked my mom and sister to stop walking to buy us some. I chose the Blue vanilla flavor and followed their instructions to wait a little before taking a bite. It had a weird feeling at first (Yeah first time to try it! ^_^ ) I think this is because of the chewy outer layer of the ice cream but when you bite into it more and more, it was yummy! Perfect dessert on the go. I'm guilty about forgetting to take a photo of it after my first bite since I couldn't stop eating eat LOL.

Php 65.00 Blue Vanilla flavor. (taken using my mobile phone)

Though it may not be the cheapest dessert, but if you want to try something new and delicious, it's definitely worth every penny. Their other flavors are Azuki Red Bean, Green Tea, Black Sesame and including Blue Vanilla all for Php 65 and Mango, Strawberry, Chocolate and Purple Yam (Ube) all for Php 60.00.

They already have several branches if you wanted to try them out.

BestFoodForward - NBC Tent, BGC

I'm a bit of a suck up when it comes to bazaars of all sort. I was always present specially the Christmas bazaars. But one of my favorite bazaars are those involving food. All those best chefs and patisserie shares their showmanship and create a feast for us to enjoy. I think that's why I like going to Mercato or Soderno :) .

When I heard of the BestFoodForward bazaar, I was like searching the internet where and when will it take place.
.

It will take place this weekend (tomorrow to be exact) and the good news for me? It's very near my office! I can go there after my shift to check it out. They said that they have more participants this year than the previous one. You can view the whole list here >> Concessionaires. What's even  more better, is that they are doing this for a cause, and their chosen beneficiary is the Unang Hakbang Foundation, a foundation who is continuously working with children and less fortunate people to help them realize and discover what they can do to make their lives great and worth living.

If you'd like to have additional details or information regarding the Bestfoodfoward, you can visit their website at http://www.bestfoodforward.com.ph. Or you may contact them through 0917.887.19330920.914.8175, or 211.9644 or send them an email through eat@bestfoodforward.com.ph .

Icebergs at MOA

I really wanna try Lugang, but it's always full and I was really hungry so we decided to eat at Icebergs.

I had Chicken Cordon Bleu and she had their Pork Sisig. My patience is a little short specially if it involves eating. Her food came in time but mine was so late. We had to follow up twice!

Okay so my food finally came then time to eat! After enjoying our meal, we shared a mango parfait.

It was ok I guess. But I'd still prefer Swensens over Icebergs, bigtime. When it was time for the bill, it took at least 40-45 minutes to get the bill, print the receipt and give it to us. Talk about an inefficient manager! And while we were waiting for the bill, they took out the trash with dripping water under it. Good thing we were done eating.

Ebun and Swensen again. LOL

Okay this happened last friday when our plans for the night were ruined since we can't watch The Sound of music that day. (Voucher gone bad - Buyanihan)

We ended up at MOA to have dinner and dessert. So since we ate at cafe mediterranian (which I have no post of, darn) last time we went out, I was the one who picked the restaurant this time and I picked Ebun. Didn't have photos of the regular food, but here's something I haven't tried ever, Balot!

Tried my hardest to put it in my mouth without vomiting. Turns out, it's ok. But I only ate a few bites since I think it has a day old chick in it. Scary.

Though I like Ebun's food, their service that night was a disaster. We also ordered okoy for our appetizer but guess what, we had to follow up with them a couple of times and instead of being an appetizer, it became a take home food. Talk about disappointment.

After a eating at Ebun, it's yay to dessert! Went to Swensens again. I had this craving for their ice cream.

OMG it's chocolate overload again. Talk about the ultimate cheat day.

Swensen's at SM Mall of Asia

Okay so we went to SM MOA cause I really really need to buy a new pair of shoes since my old one is starting to talk and I can really feel the wetness of the street while I walk (nasty right?).

After finding the right shoe, we went to Tokyo Tokyo to have dinner. Sumo Remix please. Didn't have a photo of the food though cause I don't think I need it.

Then off to dessert! We were really looking forward for Swensen's to open. And so we went in.

We were a bit full from dinner that time so we decided to share the sundae. And I'm sorry I forgot the exact name of the dish, but it has these crispy, crunchy maltesers! It's like chocolate overload! For Php 220.00, it's heaven.

You guys should really try Swensen's. I think Icebergs will have a run for their money.
