Gotti's Ristorante, SM Mall of Asia

After strolling and all the window shopping that we did, we decided that it's time for dinner. I was personally not craving any dish back then but I was willing to try a new place to eat. Scouting for it, we stumbled upon Gotti's. It was new to me (though I think they were open in other malls for quite sometime now) and I think they just opened their branch there so we went in.

Pardon me for the blurry photo. This was a stolen shot. LOL I'm kind of shy of taking a photo of the establishment.

While we were waiting for our order, well I got bored and tried taking an "artistic" photo. Don't know if it work though. Haha

*Php 145.00* Mushroom Bruschetta.
It's 3 crisp bread with fresh mushrooms on top that was sauteed in pancetta and basil silvers. Although the flavors were there, it was served cold to us. I was wondering if that was really the way to serve it.

 

*Php 190.00* Garlic Shrimp.
I was a fan of this one. Yes it was a factor for me that this was a tomato-based dish, but more importantly the taste was superb. The sauce was delicious and the pasta was cooked right. The bread was also a treat to the taste buds.

A real Italian restaurant cannot be complete without their Pizzas! So we had to order one.

*Php 345.00* Contadina.
As described in their menu, it's Prosciutto de Parma and grilled eggplant topped with freshly grated with Parmigiano Romano.I liked the way that it tasted it was like the eggplant lasagna that I loved eating that's on top of a pizza.

I had a great time exploring their food. There were some ups and downs but all in all I had a good experience in this restaurant.

Arabela - Camello's Bakehaus & Coffee Shop

When we visited the town of Liliw, Laguna, we had to try Arabela's for lunch. We had seen Anton of OAP's post regarding the place, and it really lived up to my expectations.

The entrance to the cafe. It's quite small but is very homey inside.

I always hear Gordon Ramsay saying that restaurants with pictures in their menus scare him, but this one is an exception and I can tell him that.

(Php 220.00) Fortulana. Pasta is al dente and their pasta sauce superb.

(Php 95.00) Their homemade Baked Lasagna.

(Php 240.00) Pink Salmon. with side salad, garlic rice and mango and watermelon to garnish the salmon. And I must say, the garnish really went well with the salmon. Their salmon was nicely cooked.

(Php 95.00) Their fresh lemon shake.

(Php 95.00) Dulce De Leche cheesecake. I loved this dessert since I'm a big fan of cheesecakes and dulce de leche. Putting them together, is like heaven on a plate.

(Php 50.00) Bread Pudding. Don't be deceived by it's simplicity for this dessert will sweep you off your feet. This is one of Arabela's best sellers!

Acacia Hotel Buffet Restaurant: Acaci

I recently have stayed in the Acacia Hotel  and also have sampled their dinner buffet in their cafe. I was a little disappointed with the little choices that we have in the food (probably was still overwhelmed with Vikings and their extensive food choices)

Entrees

The Halo Halo station. The Leche Flan was a bit bland.

Appetizers. You have your bread, salami and steamed salmon.

Seared Tuna

Pasta station. You can choose which pasta and sauce you'd like have it cooked by them. 

Roasted Pork

I chose Fettuccine with carbonara sauce. It's a little bland though. and the pasta a bit chewy.

Ebun Tempura (this one always goes out first and is frequently requested by the customers. Their version of Paella. It was ok for me.

Slow Roasted Lamb. Tastes great, the seasoning is ok though it's a bit chewy for me.

Grilled Swordfish.

Chorizo Stuffed Chicken. Not a fan, the chicken I got was dry.

Salmon Fillet.
You can never go wrong with Salmon. I loved this dish.

I know it's not yummy looking together, but I wanted to take a photo so there. ^_^

They also have a chocolate fountain and yes this is it. LOL

Brownie, carrot and mango cake and their YUMMY creme brulee.

If you'd like to visit Acacia Cafe, you might want to reserve a table just to be sure that you'll be seated.
