We stayed at Kalibo for 1 night after deciding that it's far better to stay in Kalibo than to stay for 1 more night in Boracay then travel for more than an hour to go to the Kalibo International Airport. So we needed a place to stay which should be ok but at the same time should be able to fit in our little budget.
So we searched the internet for some place and it brought us to the Suburbia Garden Hotel.
We didn't easily spotted the signage for the place, so you have to keep an eye out for the simple signage that they have (White background with red font color).

Upon arriving at the reception area, we were greeted by Mike (the owner), who was very courteous and nice. We also had the opportunity to meet his wife Sherry (if my memory serves me right). Both were really accommodating to our needs. Don't be afraid to ask them anything, they gave us tips on how much the fare of the tricycle should be. For example, a regular ride in a tricycle, the fare should be Php 9.00 only. If you would rent the whole tricycle, that would cost you between Php50-Php100.
Anyway, after a bit of chatting with the hosts, we decided that it's time to check out our room.
Off to the 2nd floor! Opening the door is the biggest moment for me (usually haha) when we travel. Since, admit it or not, we have expectations of our rooms.

I was thinking, well not bad. We paid for the room for Php1,200 (rough estimate can't remember the exact amount), we got clean towels, complimentary coffee, clean sheets, fast wifi and on top of the breakfast is included.
So for you guys who are thinking of visiting Kalibo (and their famous Precious Moments dolls), you can consider staying with Surburbia Garden Hotel. The place is clean, quiet. the staffs are all friendly and accommodating and the place is not that far for the town proper. You may contact them by using the details below.
